In a piece exploring the new faces of slow travel along Ireland’s west coast, writer Grainne McBride travelled through counties Clare to Mayo in search of the people and places redefining what it means to truly arrive somewhere. She found her way to Roundstone, and to Within the Village, Co. Galway.
Created around the Italian albergo diffuso model of accommodation, a stay here allows guests to connect with the local community and for a while, become part of it.
