How do I make a booking?

Bookings can be made directly through our website, which offers the best available rates in the market, or through sites such as VRBO and Please note Terms and Conditions of booking may differ for bookings made through third party platforms. You may also contact us directly and we can process the booking over the phone.

How do I pay?

When you book through our website you will be asked for a 30% deposit to secure your booking, which is payable by credit card. Once your deposit is paid you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

The payment of the balance for your booking will be demanded from your credit card not less than 120 days prior to arrival for Within the Village. Once the final balance is received a final booking confirmation with arrival and further details will be sent to you.

If you are booking within 120 days /60 days prior to arrival, full payment will be requested.

Do I have to provide a security deposit?

  • Where 2/3 townhouses are booked as part group booking a security deposit of €1000 will be pre-authorised or debited to your card prior to arrival.
  • For exclusive hire or groups 4 townhouses and above, a security deposit of €5,000 will be pre-authorised or debited to your card prior to arrival.

Can I book a weekend/ short stay at Within the Village

Weekend breaks and shorter stays are available at Within the Village from October to May in any year. Check in however will remain on Mondays and Fridays only.

What is included in the rate quoted for our stay ?

The rate quoted for your stay covers the full cost of your stay including:

  • Townhouse fully made up and ready to go
  • Bedrooms dressed with ethically sourced linen, towels, soaps & shampoos
  • Welcome pack on arrival and some surprises!
  • WIFI throughout
  • Fires/stoves set with a starter pack of turf/briquettes or wood.
  • Kitchen essentials such as washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths, bin liners, condiments, tea/coffee, milk and welcome treats.

Can I see the layout/ configuration or floor plans of each Suite?

Yes. All townhouse info is available on our website along with a video of each of the townhouses

Arrival / Departure

You are welcome to arrive any time after 4pm  – if you will arrive later than this or are delayed please let us know so that arrangements can be made.

Departure is by 11.30am on the day of departure.

What extra services are available?

You can book extra services during your stay including

  • Extra housekeeping, charged on an hourly rate as required on a Monday or a Friday.
  • A mini mid stay clean is available for 7 night stays on either a Monday or Friday, depending on day of check-in.
  • For Exclusive Hire – You can book a range of services from caterers to activities through our Experience team, subject to availability. Please enquire at initial booking stage.

What are maximum number of guests allowed to stay?

Each Townhouse has a maximum number of guests allowed. This maximum number includes children of any age. Bookings are confirmed based on the number of guests stated at the time of booking and any changes (subject to maximum numbers) must be advised in advance.

How near are local shops and restaurants?

Within the Village is in the centre of the Village with shops and restaurants on your door. However, many of these are seasonal and close early.  Local Visitor Information will be emailed in advance of your stay and a folder of Visitor and General Information is provided in each Townhouse.  A member of our Guest Relations team is on hand or at the end of a WhatsApp messaging service and happy to assist with bookings and provide local knowledge.

Can we have food shopping delivered to the house ?

Yes – You can also pre order grocery shopping and have it delivered on the day of arrival or during your stay.

What do we supply for young children ?

There are high chairs and travel cots available, please book in advance. There is also a supply of children’s plates/cups/ cutlery available on request.

We provide normal bed linen/ pillows but please bring your own cot bedding if required.

Is there WIFI?

There is good WIFI in each Suite and passwords will be supplied on arrival.

N.B. There are no land line telephones in the houses.

Is there a BBQ?

A BBQ is available for Exclusive Hire use only.

Are there hairdryers?

There is one to two hairdryers in each Townhouse

Are there laundry facilities in the house?

Yes there are washing machines and a dryer in each house along with clothes horses.  To be mindful of the environment, please use the clothes horse when possible.

Do we need electrical adapters ?

All of Europe operates on the same 2 round pronged outlets except for the UK and Ireland which operate on their own unique 3 flat rectangle pronged outlets. If you are using electrical items from Europe or the US you will need a UK and Ireland power point adapter.

Can we smoke?

Smoking is prohibited indoors.

Can we bring our dog?

Due to the layout of our five townhouses and communal garden space, dogs or other animals are not allowed on the premises.  This is also in consideration of the other guests staying at the properties. Excepts are made for guide and certified service dogs

Is there Parking?

When arriving at the Within the Village you are welcome to Set down in front of the building to decant your luggage from your vehicle. On the main street of the Village parking is free with spaces directly across from the building. Less than 50 metres away is further free on street parking and a public paid car park. The Car park has a €2 fee for any amount of time. You are simply charged €2 for the barrier to lift at the exit.

Each of our Five Townhouses are different and range in size, configuration and front door access. They all have something very unique and special to offer our guests and even we find it hard to choose a favourite! The crooked walls and floors you will find in some of the old renovated houses add character and charm to the building.
